A Bolivian Hand-artist that lives in New York based in works related to transform objects of daily life to new functions according to the Treatment Out Signifiers of Nothing. Related to the things of the everyday such as a pizza or a pair of sandals giving them another conception of what it really is or suggesting that perhaps it isn’t a gas tank that works in your kitchen, making the object being useless for the common utility known for the people.

de/Rastra by Kyle Evans
Old television turned into real-time oscillographic synthesizer, reminiscent of Nam June Paik:
The de/Rastra oscillographic synthesizer is a real-time audio/video instrument and computer-interfacing device that allows a performer to generate visualizations intrinsic to cathode ray tube technology while simultaneously creating the acoustic analog of the displayed imagery. By way of building, bending and mutilating, de/Rastra shows the effects of altering the anatomical makeup of a CRT television, revealing the intrinsically hidden potentials of the technology through the repurposing and restructuring of its own ability. Through hacking and exploiting the capabilities intrinsic to all CRT devices, the technology becomes repurposed as a performative interface, breaking down the device’s ‘consumption only’ nature. The performer is given control over the technology by removing it from the intended application and forcing it into an active state through a combination of physical and mental effort. The de/Rastra oscillographic synthesizer is an open source project and will eventually be accompanied by tutorials on methods of CRT hacking.

The US Army could soon provide soldiers with information projected directly onto glasses after the Pentagon put an order for prototype units from Innovega. The BBC reported on the order for a system that pairs a contact lens with HUD units to allow a wearer to see an image right in front of their eyes as well as the view through the glasses.
PENTAGON TAKES ORDER FOR AUGMENTED REALITY DISPLAY SYSTEM
According the BBC Innovega has signed a contract to deliver a fully-functioning prototype to the Pentagon’s research laboratory, Darpa. The US Department of Defense has already been instrumental in providing funding for the product’s development.
Off the battlefield potential applications are diverse and Innovega also sees the system used to deliver 3D movies, with separate images sent to each lens of the glasses, and believes a product will be commercially available in 2014.
